Majandra Delfino is a Venezuelan actress and a well-known television personality. She is best known for her role of Maria DeLuca in the famous television series "Roswell", in which she appeared in sixty of its episodes from 1999 to 2002. This multi-faceted actress is also a singer with a melodious voice. She sang in quite a number of episodes of "Roswell" such as 'Cry Your Name', 'Behind the Music' and 'Viva Las Vegas' etc.
At the age of sixteen, in 1997, Majandra Delfino made her television debut by appearing as Tina DiMeo in unknown episodes of "The Tony Danza Show" and later she appeared in as many as seven television shows including "Roswell". In the same year Majandra Delfino made her film debut by acting in "Zeus and Roxanne" starring opposite Steve Guttenberg and Kathleen Quinlan. Since then, this stunning actress has donned various roles in movies like "The Tony Danza Show", "R.S.V.P.", "Reeseville", "Celeste in the City", "Shriek If You Know What I Did Last Friday the Thirteenth", and the "Fluorescent". Majandra was born on February 20, 1981 in Caracas, Venezuela. She is of half-Cuban and half-Venezuelan descent. Her birth name is Maria Alejandra Delfino. But since her name was difficult to pronounce, her elder sister Marieh, who is also an actress, changed her name to a more simpler 'Majandra Delfino' and the name stuck with her since then. |
